Davide Alves Plastic Artist

Born in Estremoz, Portugal in 1985, from the early years defined plastic as his primary expression form. Mostly using  black and white language until hes first contact with spray cans around the age of 14. this was a game changer as the use of new materials brought to his work a all new chromatic palette and a all new universe of possibilities. This close relation between the artist and his “weapon of choice” as only gotten stronger with the years, being that most of his creations are if not  totally at least partially produced with spray paint and markers.

Although attending  Visual Arts in the University of Évora 2003/08 considers to be mainly a self-taught artist. Picking up technical skills with many of the great professionals that had opportunity to collaborate with along the way.

From 2007 to 2012 worked as a set designer and set painter, for theater, television and advertising.

With clear influences of urban art, graffiti, surrealism and symbolism. Constantly developing combinations of original styles set in surreal universes, mirroring society's beautiful chaos in is own unique presperspective.

Contrary to most common artists doesn't focus on single style, but rather on they're  diversity to express his message.

" Creation is all about evolution. If I get stuck in one single style my creativity is limited to it, and I can't have that kind of boundaries in my work. As I believe art's propose is to keep breaking them."

Based in Bristol, UK  since 2014 freelancing as illustrator, tattoo designer and contemporary muralist.

From 2018 there will be a bigger focus between the gallery work and street art events and commissioned projects.
